Steal 5 Minutes A Day
Today, take a minute (or more) and think about what it means to “participate” in your life.
It’s so easy to put ourselves on autopilot.
So many of us just get swept away by circumstances or by what others want us to do.
When the external drives us, we may just live our life robotically, fulfilling the day’s tasks.
We have that to-do list that is never done.
We have demands being thrown at us from all angles.
Then, finally, we start to awaken and realize we have been underwater for years.
Just treading away, trying to breathe.
Some people call this a mid-life crisis.
And that, too, can go really bad.
Divorce, alcoholism, or panic attacks.
So, how do we stop the treadmill and pay attention?
Well, we can start with five minutes.
We can steal five minutes a day to meditate and journal.
We can open the gate just a little and peek inside.
We can ask the questions, starting with “Who am I.”
