September 7 — Mindful Minute
Today, take a minute (or more) and persist. Benjamin Franklin said, “Energy and persistence conquer all things.” When we face obstacles, we must persist. When doubt sets in, we must persist. One definition of persistence is “firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.” That’s it. Obstinate continuance. Refusal to give up. Whatever it is that we want to achieve — the clearest path is to persevere. The list is long of highly successful people whose words of advice to others is almost always, “Don’t give up.” When we don’t give up, we discover what we are made of. When we don’t give up, we gain confidence. When we don’t give up, we keep learning. When we don’t give up, we learn to adapt and when we don’t give up, we expand our vision. Keep going. Persist!
