See With Gentle Eyes
Today, take a minute (or more) and practice seeing with gentle eyes.
No one can truly know what the journey of others has been.
So many of us keep our troubles — our trauma — in a bottle. A bottle that bubbles over at times.
When we witness an outburst — or any erratic behavior we may feel judgment rising to the surface.
Deborah Adele writes, “We learn compassion as we dissolve our personal version of the world and grow gentle eyes that are not afraid to see reality as it is.”
What is reality, really? I don’t think it is possible to understand another’s reality.
Even if they have shared their story — can we feel their pain?
Can we understand their perceptions?
Probably not, but we can approach everyone with gentleness and compassion.
