Protect Your Peace

Today, take a minute (or more) and think about how to protect your peace.

I’ve had a tumultuous life, and often when I think of the one thing that is most important to me, it is just to feel peace.

It’s always a work in progress. Yet, I do see patterns. I see the things that upset me — irritate me — disrupt my mojo.

Perhaps the number one culprit is overthinking.

Then there is watching too much news.

Worrying about what other people think.

Comparing myself to others.

Being overly concerned about things I don’t need to concern myself with.

Not managing my trigger responses.

Putting too much pressure on myself.

Needing others to understand me.

Those are the ones that come to mind immediately. I could probably go on, but this is supposed to be a 1-minute read.

Then there are the things that I must be diligent with including in my daily routine. That would be time in nature, meditation, journaling, and nurturing my creative side.

Take a minute and think about what protects your peace and what steals a piece of you.
