Today, take a minute (or more) and ask yourself, “Is it true?”
Oh, the things our minds would like for us to believe.
It is a true master at spinning elaborate stories, especially when we stumble into situations that poke at our emotions.
While experiencing triggering and raw feelings, the mind will often drop litter into our psyche, causing mental chaos.
During these times, ask yourself, “But is it true?”
This simple exercise of questioning the validity of our thoughts can immediately have a calming effect.
